The Dewar name has been a trusted part of Canada’s construction industry since 1957, when Ian Dewar founded Dewar Insulations. Over the following decades, Ian expanded the Dewar Group of Companies across Canada and internationally, building a reputation for performance, reliability, and strong partnerships through countless successful projects. In the 1990s, Ian proudly passed leadership to the second generation, with Scott Dewar continuing to grow the business while honouring its core values.
In 2000, Dewar entered the Canadian nuclear industry through a joint venture that became Crosby Dewar Inc. by 2006 — broadening service offerings within power generation, industrial, commercial, and institutional markets. As the company evolved, it rebranded as Dewar Construction Services., reflecting a sharper focus on delivering trusted industrial site services under the Dewar Group of Companies banner.
Today, Dewar is proudly led by the third generation, with Cameron Dewar serving as President — continuing the family tradition of integrity, excellence, and forward-looking vision as we continue to shape the projects of tomorrow.
